14Apr

Under the leadership and guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Energy, ACWA Power and Thabat have signed an agreement to build a fully integrated mobile hospital equipped with all necessary medical equipment and tools to treat infected cases and provide the full health care services required to face the pandemic.

This comes as an effort to harness the potentials and capabilities of the Saudi energy system in supporting the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the Ministry of Health to face the repercussions of the emerging crisis of the Corona-virus pandemic.

The agreement was signed under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, the Minister of Health, and Mohammed Abunayyan, the Chairman of ACWA Power. The agreement was signed by Thamer Al Sharhan, representing ACWA Power, and Essam Al Muhaidib, representing Thabat.

Mohammed Abunayyan commented on the agreement saying, "I would first like to express my sincerest thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, for his generous support and sponsorship of our societal initiative of an integrated mobile hospital to help combat the emerging Corona-virus pandemic in our beloved Kingdom.”

CEO of Al Muhaidib Group, Essam Al Muhaidib also expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the special support of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah region, where His Excellency facilitated the procedures for allocating the land necessary to build the hospital, and provided full support from Emarah to complete the project according to the specified period.

Under the agreement, ACWA Power and Thabat will harness their technical and pioneering experiences in the rapid completion of projects that require the highest standards of safety and security in record time, provided that contracts and assets of the hospital are delivered to the Saudi Ministry of Health within 70 days from the date of signing the agreement.

It is worth noting that the hospital will be built according to smart mobile designs that are compatible with the purpose of the project, in order to allow easy transportation of its units to various regions as needed, in addition to ensuring future use of the hospital, its equipment and capabilities after the end of the Corona-virus pandemic, and its introduction within the hospital system of the Ministry of Health to continue providing Healthcare services.
