The Eastern Gateway Logistical Services Company was established as a strategic investment entity to develop a multi-modal bonded and re-export zone located at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. This landmark project, known as the Eastern Gateway Bonded and Re-Export Zone. The company’s ownership comprises a consortium of distinguished Saudi business groups, including Al-Bawardi Group, Al-Muhaidib Group, Abdullatif Al-Issa Group, and Gulf Shipping Company (a division of Globe Marine).

The Eastern Gateway Bonded Zone Facts & Figures

The Eastern Gateway Bonded Zone (EGBZ) is Saudi Arabia’s fastest-growing bonded and re-export zone, strategically located on a secured 100,000 m² site within King Fahd International Airport (KFIA) in Dammam. The zone operates under a 30-year Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) concession granted by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). EGBZ offers direct airside access via a dedicated service road connecting the facility to the airport’s main apron, in addition to convenient links to the region’s major highway network. Around 60% of the total area is dedicated to a 40,000 m² multi-user, multi-modal, multi-temperature bonded storage facility and national distribution hub.
